A cheque for £750 is presented to Cancer Research UK

The boys from the local band Ska-amanga handed over cheques equating to more than £2,000 to three charities.

Dave Faulks, Drew Stansall, Gaz Birtles and Tony Looby started the Encore bucket two years ago raising money for the local Air Ambulance, Parkinsons Disease and Cancer Research. At the end of each gig, they asked the audience to spare a bit of loose change and over time they have managed to rack up £2,180. They presented the large cheques to the charities at The Polish Club on Saturday, August 20th.

Dave Faulks said “Ska-amanga would like to thank everybody for their support and will keep it going.”

All charities are extremely grateful for this initiative and wish them well for the future.
