Charity Night 25th March 2011

A fabulous and very enjoyable Charity Night was held at The Kirby Muxloe Sports and Social Club in Leicestershire on March 25th 2011. This was the third annual event of its kind and was organised once again by Matthew Bowyer (son of Leicester Committee Chair Glenise Bowyer) in conjunction with Leicester Cancer Research UK Committee.

The event was sponsored by local Hairdressers Whites Hair and Beauty of Glenfield and Ratby who presented a cheque for £500 and also gave some very generous auction prizes. The event included a live band, compered by Lee Rivers (a professional singer) magician Dave Vegas, an Auction, Raffle and Barbeque. Some very generous auction prizes were given including a 2 night stay at a Prestigious Hotel on the Norfolk Coast, a ride in an 'E' Type Jaguar with a Pub Lunch and a Canal Boat ride with lunch included. Many other prizes were given and in all £2,500 was raised for Cancer Research UK Pancreatic Cancer Research fund. 150 tickets were sold at £10 per head which included an excellent barbeque by The Roast House.
