Welcome to the Syston Group

Our group was "born" back in 1988 and our aim to raise funds to help in the fight against Cancer. Then our meetings were held at the home of Geoff and Gerry Smart in Broad Street, Syston. Gerry was the chairman of the group and Vicky Whitelaw was the Secretary. The highlight of our fundraising was a garden party that was held every year in Gerry's garden, a speciality being "Strawberry Cream Teas".

Over the years, we have had tremendous support from businesses, shops and local people both in Syston and the surrounding areas. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them. To date, we have raised a staggering £182,000, and with your help we will continue to add to this figure.
